Here at Blu Track®, we take pride in providing premium products that are made in the United States with a focus on sustainability, safety and durability. Our products have a rich history of being made with materials sourced in the USA.
We have a small but dedicated team of thinkers, doers, and makers that truly get excited and inspired about kids and families playing with Blu Track®.
Randy Belding, our company president and Blu Track’s inventor, developed Blu Track® for his son, Jay. When Jay was five years old, he bought a racetrack system with his own money. The track was supposed to do 2 loops. He was disappointed when it didn’t perform as it was supposed to. Randy and Jay took the track to their shop and worked on modifications for about 90 minutes. They had a lot of fun doing it!
When the modifications were complete, Jay dropped a car down the track a couple of times and then moved on to something else.
Randy thought about how little Jay played with the track and all its pieces and realized that the real fun was in tweaking the track to make it work. Randy tried several different options – from buying plastic window seals, to many single, and double lane designs. It took seven different tool dies to get the present profile of Blu Track® Classic Series.
We have learned, through observation and customer feedback, that playtime with Blu Track® is often measured in hours rather than minutes. Also, kids and families seem to have more fun together with Blu Track®! It is truly amazing to watch them start out with a simple race, then begin to experiment with different track designs for jumps and stunts. When left to their own devices, children will amaze you with creative stunts that you as an adult might think impossible.
That’s why our tagline is..
We currently manufacture our own premium product here in Anamosa, Iowa. We strive to give you great quality while supporting our neighbors.
By making products that last and aren’t meant to be thrown away, we can significantly reduce waste and help the environment. Blu Track is designed to last for generations of play, reducing the need for frequent replacements, which in turn leads to less waste and a reduced carbon footprint.
We are committed to sustainability. Track that doesn’t meet our standards, along with manufacturing scraps, is ground down and recycled into new production runs. This closed-loop process ensures we minimize waste.
All Blu Track® products are locally made in America’s heartland. We support local economies and communities and are environmentally friendly. Our Iowa-based facility adheres to stricter environmental standards and reduces transportation emissions.
